So what is hex?

I’m going on Tuesday and hoping it’s open. But what exactly is it? I like to know a ride before I get on it. I know that it has a walk through part and a cinema part. But the ride section I know nothing about and when I’ve tried to look at walk throughs they are too dark to see anything.
