When to add input?

Hello everyone

I just got a new scrum master job and I’m having trouble on when to add input when the team goes into more technical work. In one instance we are doing refinement and the team is brain storming about the code and how to accomplish the task. I feel like I don’t have to expertise to really jump into the conversation does anyone have any advice?
