bout to stir controversy at a saturday afternoon: Seth and Jane ship is Platonic canon, the romantic ship is delulu, more delulu if you see the cutscenes as romantic.

It's true Jane and Seth have very Great chemistry, it makes sense why Shippers would want to make fanfic of their personalities because it's just like The resident evil characters, Ada wong and Leon Kennedy. Another ship that people may want to see.But Still, I find the Prior mentioned shipper behaviors, really need some touch up on grass sometimes. Headcannons and Fanfics are great...

But It's damning annoying seeing someone put the "When two characters breathe the same air in a cutscene" to "they must be inlove then" which is really not a complimentary thing to describe, not only perfectly describes most of the shipping groups in Hoyoverse community. Thinking behavior like that, is kind of cringe, its like you are a person who can't see beyond two people talking as just normal conversation or Banter. And when outside communities see Almost half of of the community is delulu, I'm sure it turns away people 😂.

Leon and Ada had actual sexual tension in their stories and cutscenes in the resident evil game (they literally fcking kissed)... so comparing this two this platonic one is so weird somehow.

Yes, I'm saying Seth and Jane doe interactions was purely banter, and was set as a comedic set for two characters that are complete oppposite. By the end of the Special Quest, Jane doe was making fun and teasing Thugs and Making trouble for seth. Then Seth just ends up being humbled and made fun of by the end with his peers. The end was platonic and fun.

And before you mention. "I bet YOU only say this because its not a YURI or YAOi ship". No I think some of them are delulu too. SELF INSERT ships are Complete delulu as always since its a self insert, that (self can never you lol) too if you ever want to mention that.

But just to compare to Hoyoverse ships like:

Beidou and ninguang Dr. Ratio and Aventurine

Are yuri and yaoi ships, that has enough chemistry for two characters for a ship, but its major reason why it makes sense for this two characters to be ship, is the romantic and sexual innuendos that are usually present on cutscenes between this two characters. Implying they sleep together at night out of cutscenes. This two ships atleast have extends out canonically from platonic to sexual ship.

Acheron and blackswan

Was a Ship that wasn't really Sexual after we actually get their In game interactions, they barely talked to each other. But still had innuendos that may fire up shipping fans. The Dance trailer was certainly pure yuri bait. Unlike the prior two mentioned ships. By the end, the Sexual ship or even platonic ship ended quick lol. They seem to be just a quick Hookup or just Professionaly acquinted because of the Job.

Still does that mean, Acheron and blackswan Sexual or romanitc fanfic ships shouldn't exist? No not really people can have fun.Jane and seth romantic and sexual fanfic ships should also be fun too.

But can we not act delusional and think that there was more to the cutscenes presented on this characters? There was no romantic tension or sexual tension, I have seen plenty of comments and even Youtube content creators making click baity shit just for Ship views.

People would be mad when a self insert fan suddenly self inserts to any character they talk too lol and say this is why Ayaka wants to married to aether, is delulu But somehow not the other because Delulu isn't shared equally???

Keep the Canon Cutscenes platonic, until there is actual Sexual tension or romantic tension like the Beidou ninguang does. If you deem the cutscenes platonic but you want more, then make a fanfic. That easy.

Anyways

Seth was a really cool Shounen protagonist in this Short special story quest. He has one of the coolest weapons ever, switchaxe and sword shield mix from monhun. His character shows that he has a good way of sensing ones character and was overly have so much faith for even the Thugs to change lol.

Jane doe was suprisingly sweet, she seen as this cool cold secret flirty spy, but even then she treated the Mob thugs with some respect and treated like Brothers. She actually cares a lot for lives.

This is why I think its platonic too. Both of their characters never changed because they were talking to one specific person. They treated everyone equally with the same character. Jane doe was flirty and Jokish and sweet with the thugs and Seth was A hopeful person to even the thugs.

But people act like they love each other, because they think Jane doe only teases mr Seth, and people think Seth only believes on Jane doe... no they are actual characters that aren't locked into being only interesting because they are both interacting.
