Zinc alloy worth $100?
Alright guys i apologize ahead of time if this has been asked but I gotta know. Ive been wanting the zinc alloy but didnt want to drop $300 up front. My wife ended up getting the 80HE prebuilt black plastic ordered for my birthday in november as a surprise (insane W from wife). Its january now and my est ship date is feb 3. I have enough to purchase the zinc alloy now and debating below:
Is the case even worth it? I have a plastic case now for a diff keyboard but its fine I like the idea of the zinc alloy since this is going to be my ultimate end game keyboard that ill be modding (first time modding) with geon raws and diff keycaps along with tape mod etc. Anybody have both or seen both and how big of a difference it is in terms of feel/quality?
Is it worth just refunding/cancelling my order and just reordering with the module HE and then getting the zinc alloy case that way? The modules and zinc alloy case are now in stock and id have the keyboard basically 2 months earlier.
Update1: i have decided I will give the alloy case a shot! My wife is refunding the order she made and will send me the money once its refunded. In the meantime I reordered the keyboard with the module zinc alloy raw case, some keycaps and the wrist rest. I have the geon raw HE switches on the way as well from kbdfans. Will come back here with my second update once I try it out!
