Can a UTI spread to kidneys even when treated?

Hi everyone, I’m just wondering if it’s possible that my UTI has spread to my kidneys despite being on three days of antibiotics? My UTI symptoms have cleared up but I’ve just started to have pain in the left side of my back, identical to the pain I had last month with a kidney infection from an untreated UTI.
