Buying US stocks in TFSA

What is the best way to buy US stocks in your TFSA. I mostly invest in ETFs that trade in CAD such as VFV but I want to dabble in investing in individual US companies. What kind of charges are there for buying in USD when my currency is CAD in my TFSA?
