[Discussion] Why watch diameter isn’t as important as lug to lug.
There’s always been this weird little thing in watches where some people won’t wear a certain size watch at all rather because it’s too big or too small but most of the time they’re only put off by the diameter & not the lug to lug. What is lug to lug? Lug to to lug is going from the very bottom of the case to the top part of the case vertically which is actually the biggest part of rather a watch can fit or not. Diameter isn’t as important since there’s plenty of wrist width to go around but not the same wrist length wise.
I guess what I’m trying to say is to be more opened minded towards bigger or smaller watches & look up the lug to lug. I myself was intimidated by the Seiko turtle’s 45mm diameter until I looked up the lug to lug & it wore very well. And there’s also smaller watches like the nomos club sport where it’s a smaller watch at 37mm but has the same lug to lug as the turtle. So if there’s a watch you like even if you think it’s too small or too big give it a shot, it might be your new favorite watch or it might wear a lot better than you expected. The fun part about watches is exploring & trying on things so go out there & explore!
