Being billed for surgery even though Community Care referred it.

Community Care referred me to this place for a deviated septum which then conducted a sectoplasty on me, they contacted CC prior to this and I called as well they said I was good to go. I got billed from anesthesiologist for 900, added the VA as the insurance company. Am I good? I couldn’t called because everything is closed. But is that how it works? Last time the doctor sent my meds to a cvs and not the VA pharmacy so I had to pay out of pocket. I’m 100% if it matters.
