Advice Regarding Studying at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics as a Student from Sweden
Hey everyone,
I’m a Swedish student who has applied to the Bachelor in International Business and Bachelor in Economics and Business Economics at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE). If I get accepted, I would have to move abroad from Sweden to study there.
I did the IB Diploma Program (IBDP), and I can also most likely get accepted to a Bachelor in Business Administration at Stockholm University (which is taught in English). By staying in Sweden, I could live at home with my parents, which would make things more convenient. Plus, university is tuition-free in Sweden.
I do have the funds to finance both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s abroad, so cost isn’t a major concern. My main questions are:
- Is it worth moving abroad to study at Maastricht University SBE for a Bachelor’s, or would it be better to stay in Sweden and then do a Master’s at Maastricht or another university?
- How is Maastricht University SBE in terms of academic quality, career opportunities, and reputation in Europe?
- Would an English-taught Bachelor’s from Stockholm University be a good alternative, or would Maastricht offer significantly better opportunities?
For those who have studied at Maastricht University or moved abroad for their Bachelor’s, what were your experiences like? Did it help you career-wise, socially, or academically?
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
