Works that you lament act as punchbags by the general public?

I guess to use an example to explain what caused this idea to pop into my head: Overwatch post-launch. (Obligatory "fuck Blizzard" just to get that out of the way.)

As someone who solo queues and still enjoys OW2 until now, it kinda sucks that it's impossible to head into any casual gaming space and hear the same pain points repeatedly to call the game trash, whether it's stuff about the monetization or the balance, or joking about how all OW is good for now is just porn when I feel like there's still a lot to love about the game.

Personally, as someone who doesn't really find much appeal in modern FPS games save for what, Titanfall 2 - I still feel that Overwatch boasts a solid foundation that remains its core strength from when it launched until now. That roster of heroes with great diversity between both presentation and gameplay still draws me in much like a fighting game's does, and it leads to a frantic yet fulfilling experience that not many other games in its genre can match.

So yeah, generally speaking - are there any works or creators that you can't feel sad/bad about being brought up in public only to be automatically shat on when there's still stuff to enjoy about it?
