Ended warranty, ended relationship with the dealer

My truck went in for the last service it'll ever have at the dealership. No reason to go back when there isn't free service, especially since services by my local dealer have ended up costing me far more than just services I've asked for.

My last few visits were riddled with incompetence. Two visits ago resulted in major damage when they "forgot" to tighten the mounting bolts for the front passenger side brake caliper and related infrastructure. Never mind I asked them to replace the front brake rotors and they turned them down instead (never mind my truck tows at > 70% rated towing capacity at 5-9% grades in the mountains on a regular basis). On my last visit the dealer told me they couldn't perform simple repairs for things I presented while it was in for an oil change. Multiple failures, zero competence.

Do your dealerships send you this BS after your visits?

Sooner or later, you should get a survey in your email regarding your recent service. We're graded on a 1-5 star scale in the OVERALL SERVICE EXPERIENCE (This one is MOST important!) & ADVISOR EXPERIENCE categories and anything less than a 5 is a failing grade to me. The survey is a personal report card and poor scores directly effects me (even when it relates to things out of my control). If there any issues that made your visit less than satisfactory, please reach out so I can make it right. Thanks, Dan

I have a workshop and all the tools, just struggle to find time with work schedules, family, etc. Anybody else at this point?

(my truck has been flawless except for when the dealer touches it, btw!)
