What's a song that gives you different vibes than it does for most other people?
I'm not talking about songs that intentionally play with this concept, like Mmmbop by the Hanson Brothers (which sounds uplifting but is a somber song). I'm talking about songs that clearly try to deliver a certain message, but you felt different about it until you found out most people have a very different take on it (whether your interpretation is correct or not doesn't matter).
I had a great example a while ago and didn't post and now I forgot what it was, but as a slightly less perfect example, I was going through the comments on YouTube for 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' and someone responded that, for them, the song is like running through a field of flowers during a summer day. I.e. perfect, careless happiness. For me, that's not the vibe at all (although I get the sense of hope and 'moving on') and for most people I think that's also not it. It also is not the official interpretation of the song when you read the lyrics. For me it's a rather cynical song and maybe that's wrong as well.
Also, maybe this question is more for people who don't pay close attention to the lyrics or are not native speakers of the language the song is in, but I find it fascinating. Happens to me at times, still, even though I pay closer attention to the lyrics now.
I will try to find my examples, because I definitely had a few where my vibe was completely off after I read the lyrics or compared my feelings to what others were experiencing.
