Exploding passenger mirror??

While driving today, we heard a loud “bang”! We realized that the passenger mirror was hanging by wires. We pulled over and assessed and realized what appears to be an exploding passenger mirror. Our cover amazingly fell off into some grass and doesn’t have a single scratch on it. All clips are intact. The inside circular motor appears to be cracked. Mirror was folded after to help keep everything together. This is gonna be a fun one with Tesla support. Reporting it to the NHTSA. Apparently, I’m not the only one …
