Proxxon Thermocut - maintance + breaking wire
Hello,
I got the Proxxon Thermocut 2 days ago which I am sure excited about, but I am battling with some slight issues. The biggest issue is the wire, I have a thicker foam (about 8 cm) so I have to use higher power. The problem I get, is that is is not easy to cut, from which I get two problems:
1) The foam is always not super straight, plus often the wire straightness gets "skewed" from the pressure, even though when starting it is straight as it could be (or at least I think). On the top knob, a bit of wire is "off" from it, but I dont think it should cause looseness after cut
2) Today the wire broke twice, the problem might be that I put is on 6, which is 10 cm+, however on 5 it gets harder to cut, and then point one is even more amplified.
Is the problem in the thickness of the foam or I am I doing something wrong?
Not for the maintance and working part, I get OCD when having new things and I oftenly turn in off or turn down the volume as I start thinking it is bad for the wire, however turning it on and off oftenly is should be bad for the engine. What is the best way use it during the workflow?
Thank you all in advance!
