Should I even bother

So I was reading the novel back when it still was updated and also got discontinued. I got curious and wanted to check where the “manga” stands in terms of adapting the novel and saw that the “manga” overtook the novel. Should I start reading from the “manga” chapter that corresponds to the last novel chapter or leave it be?
