How is it that Mikey’s comics know how to predict dark stuff?

No spoilers, but I honestly would like to know how his powers work in the 2012 verse because it seems that whenever he tells his brothers about his comics, he knows how to solve a difficult situation, so it’s odd how his comics are so relatable in that aspect.
