Beware of TIFF acquisitions being released by Vertical Entertainment - They Don’t Get Released in Canada

This happens every year and it's about to happen again with The Order. Vertical Entertainment acquires the rights to distribute movies that screened at TIFF and then they go ahead not give it a release in Canada. Why can't they have a presence in Canada like other distributors like Sony Pictures Classics or partner with Elevation or Mongrel or VVS the same way A24 and Neon do? Why does Vertical not even bother with the Canadian market?
