Add more USB ports to Valve dock?

I was looking at different options for a variety of controllers plugged in/charging at once (multiple of the 8bitDo 2.4ghz controllers).

Could I connect one or two powered USB hubs to my steam dock (valve) to connect multiple receivers? Looking at something like this as it would allow my to turn on/off receivers:

Any reason this wouldn't work?
