I thought they'd fix hostile enclaves at higher difficulties since I last played many years ago, but they're still tedious and frustrating on higher difficulties - cheesy tactics are essential or else they're so unfair.

Seriously, I encountered one hostile enemy and I only had a crossbow - I'd down him and he'd recover each time as I reloaded. Frustrating - why are they such bullet sponges with rapid recovery and don't have a clear cap on health! Make it lethal by them easily one-shotting us, sure, or them having better accuracy/dodging, but why like this? They should be equally vulnerable so it's tense but not annoying!
