Shall I take the plunge?

So I am an older gamer, I started off in the 1980s on ZX Spectrum.

I played Elite and then Frontier on the Amiga. I like all things space exploration. I played Traveller RPG as a kid, I read Iain M Banks etc.

Then life got in the way and I gave up gaming after my PS2.

Last year I saw the Starfield trailer and honestly haven't felt that excited about gaming for 20 years.

However I have seen such mixed bag of reviews I really don't know whether to play or not. I want to love it and I really don't want to be disappointed.

My son got an XBox Series X for Christmas so now it's a matter of buy or not.

I'm just wondering if I should join you all. If I do, what's your advice. What's the best way to approach playing?

No spoilers please. 😉

OK I am in! I am going to game pass it for a month or two and see where we go....
