First major rebel victory against the empire battle of lothal or scarif??

Settle this one for me, my friend and I are arguing which one was the first major victory of rebels against The Empire? He said it was the battle of scarif(star wars rogue one) because they stole the plans for the death star and I completely agree with him it what started hope for the rebels and the trilogy. But for me it was the battle of lothal (star wars rebels) for a lot of MAJOR REASONS! first the rebels destroyed the factory for advance tie fighters which is a big thing considering how better those are. 2nd the ghost crew and ezra stop the Emperor for accessing the World between Worlds which is like the biggest thing cuz it's literally a pathway for time and space. And the reason why Ahsoka was saved because Ezra pulled her in the World between Worlds when she was about to die fighting darth Vader. Third one is Ezra took admiral Thrawn with him when he sacrificed himself to win the battle of lothal, We can all agree Admiral thrawn was the best and smartest admiral of the empire. Can you imagine ezra didn't took Thrawn with him? Thrawn would have been in Scarif and the battle would be completely different if he was there. Same thing to The original Trilogy, do you really think the rebels and luke would have won If Thrawn was there??? Even darth Vader acknowledge Thrawn because of his skills as an Admiral. You can't tell me the rebel would still win if Admiral Thrawn was there wtih Darth Vader. Last reason is Because of the ghost crew victory on Lothal the planet was the fordt one to be liberated and become a free planet again. And become a major base for the rebels after the war. So yeah for me the battle of lothal was the rebels first major victory against the empire they're just a rebel cell at the time too!

Yes the mission on Lothal wasn't authorized and was discouraged by the alliance but the rebel cell specifically the ghost crew who fought there is still part of the cause and are rebels still, the battle in scarif wouldn't even be a be a victory if they lost in lothal cuz the Emperor would have use the World between worlds to change things and thrawn is literally like the batman of star wars with his strategic skills and preparedness thrawn would have saw the attack on scariff from a mile a way or expect it.

The rebellion was lucky Thrawn wasn't there if he was the result of the battle in scarif would have been different.

And the victory in lothal isn't just for the locals it was huge for the rebel cause itself cause they stop a lot of major stuff the could've been a big problem later on. The battle of lothal definitely spark some hope since the battle was heard across the known universe
