SMM with a boss that won’t contribute

I recently go hired as a “social media manager” for a local real estate investor. For context I have no real estate history or experience but was told at the interview that it wasn’t needed.

I have only worked three weeks but it seems like I’m tasked to come up with ideas, write scripts/content outlines, film, edit and post all of the content for all of her social media pages.

Which is fine and definitely something that I was prepared to take on. However… it seems like in every meeting that we have there is constant talk about lack of “authenticity” in the posts that we have been posting on socials.

My biggest problem with this call out is that my boss, who we are trying to portray as an influencer/face of her company, does not contribute at all to the planning, scripting or brainstorming. Which basically leads to me, someone who doesn’t know anything at all about real estate, trying to come up with information and content ideas for her.

Then when we film instead of her taking time to read, learn and practice the script, She expects everything to be done in one take as quick as possible. She will talk fast, slur words, ramble and does not want to retake.

I feel as though if she contributed just a tiny bit to the pre-recording process that our content would be way better and definitely more authentic, because a portion of it would be coming straight from her.

I cannot reach into her brain to pull out information or personal stories. And I try my best to set her up with everything she needs. But our content is still lacking and I’m racking my brain on how to fix it.

Thoughts?
