Saw Slipknot tonight, worst crowd ever, wtf guys

As soon as they started playing (sic) a tsunami broke out and I got pulled away from my friends. I ended up near the front which was cool until the people around the middle starting pushing, hard, constantly. There was so much pressure on my body I had trouble breathing, and we got so tightly pack that it got to sauna temperatures and the air felt like it didn't have enough oxygen. About 5 songs in some guy behind me puts his hands on me on gropes me. I turn around to tell him off and he starts yelling at me. At this point I break and start crying, but I've waited a almost a year for this and flown out to see them so I stay. I watch about to more songs with tears in my eyes while getting squeezed and every direction, and then I pick up a stick from the floor. Immediately some guy and his gf(?) start screaming at me and ripping it out of my hands. At this point the novelty of being near Slipknot has worn of because I was constant pain, can't breathe, and I was near some of the worst people I've ever had the misfortune of sharing a crowd with. At some point I give up and start trying to get out and there was one person who was nice to try and help me but she was pretty small so she couldn't do much but thank you so much anyways. I get near the front and get the attention of one of the staff and teach my hand out for him to help me and some asshole STARTS PUSHING MY HAND AWAY litteraly trying to stop me from getting help while I'm bawling. Fuck that guy in particular.

How did this happen??? I thought metalheads were nice people. Are slipknot fans the exception? Are British people the exception? I'm ashamed to be in the same community as the people I had the displeasure of meeting today. We have to do more to rid these people from this space.

Fuck anyone who was pushing forward Fuck anyone who was groping other people Fuck anyone who was takes sticks/picks from other people Fuck anyone who stopping people from getting out (wild thing to do)
