Movie and TV allusions in S2ep3

There were in my opinion 3 blatant allusions to popular movies or TV shows in last nights episode.

1. Gretchen - when she started talking, there was something about her mannerisms and tone that reminded me of Pam from the Office. I really didn’t think anything of it, but then I saw someone on another subreddit share the same thing and even pointed out her outfit matched the outfit Pam wore during her art exhibit. Even the hair is the same! That HAS to be intentional!

2. The scene where Cobel runs away is very reminiscent of Goodfellas when Karen runs away from Jimmy thinking his guys are going to ambush her when he tries to get her to walk down to an abandoned building. Cobel had the same look of “something’s not right” and Helena clearly acted like an opportunity was missed

3. The final scene is obviously very reminiscent of the Matrix after Neo is red pilled.

Assuming these references are indeed intentional, it could tell us a lot about what is to come;

1. oDylan and iDylan are about to become Gretchen’s Roy and Jim. It sure seemed that this was a possibility based on her warmth to iDylan

2. Cobel’s going to turn on Lumon and be the one who helps bring them down

3. Mark is a even more important figure in this world than we truly know at this point
