Interracial couple looking to find a city to settle in

My Fiancée (White F28) and I (Black M31) are finally done with all of our wedding prep and are now thinking more towards our future and buying a house. With that in mind we've been thinking about locations and with the country being so big there is ton of potential options. We currently live in upstate NY in a city suburb and love the many opportunities and ease of access that's available to us being closer to a city. We want to raise a family and want to make sure they grow up in a diverse and accepting area. I'd say we are pretty adventurous and enjoy experiencing all that our area has to offer.

I work in Tech and have the ability to work remote and she is a nurse so we have the ability to find work in most places. Our general combined income is about $160k a year. Ideally we would be in a suburb, within a 30 minute drive of a mid-sized city. NYC, LA and Chicago are too big for our tastes. We don't really have a preference when it comes to climate.

From a number of people who are not in an interracial relationship and have never experienced some of the difficulties and nuances that come with it we have received plenty of comments saying that almost anywhere would work and be diverse enough, but that really isn't true. I don't want to be limited to a neighborhood or specific geographic area when I'm thinking about spending money on property and raising a family. Thank you in advance.
