6 Nights in Salzburg over Christmas period

Hello, we are a large family group travelling to Austria for a holiday later this year and will be spending 6 nights in Salzburg, arriving just after Christmas Day. None of us have ever visited Austria before. I would love your recommendations of some things to do/must see attractions around Salzburg please.
