Small dogs keep attacking my puppy
I have a 4mo rotty puppy that keeps getting nipped, and attacked by small dogs. He doesn’t go up jumping, that’s not his temperament (he’s oddly calm for a puppy) but it’s still the same. Large dogs love him and he loves everyone but it’s gotten to the point where I will not let small dogs approach him. I’ve been bluntly saying, “no small dogs, they’re too aggressive” and enjoying the look of insult wash over their owners faces. But honestly, I’m so sick of hearing- “he’s friendly”, and then the lil shit trying to bite him out of nowhere. What am I missing? I swear I’m reading the body language and it’s all tails wagging. I’m not including senior small dogs bc I can understand any senior dog not wanting to play with a puppy but the senior large dogs just ignore him and walk away. Any tips and tricks Reddit?
