“Badass” FMC that doesn’t fold after one glance from the MMC. Recs please.

I’ve been trying to read some books with strong female leads. The trope for this seems to be bully romance.

A lot FMCs are described in the book as being “badass” but as soon as she locks eyes with the MMC all of a sudden she’s blushing, shaking and giving in to body betrayal.

I’m fine with the MMC bullying FMC ~for reasons~ but stand up for yourself.

Or they’re annoying and combative just because.

Any recs for books where FMC is actually strong and takes no shit?

A book I just DNF is {The Silver Swan by Amo Jones} She let MMC and others get away with a lot of fuck shit. Made me so mad.

No books where a friend or family member has been killed by the MMC please.
