Setting up solo, before leaving 9-5

Hi all,

I am keen to set up my own recruitment gig. I want to keep this post short and sweet. So all I will say is I have experience in recruitment and essentially worked for an agency where it was like running your own desk/business inside another business.

However, I don't have the money to step away and commit full time and just live off savings. I'm also a little risk averse to do that.

Has anyone here set up on the side and started making deals before leaving the 9-5 and commuting to your now successful business?

If so, what do you recommend? How did you find it?
