Regrets before getting a bunny?

I am seriously considering getting a bunny as a companion, my idea of a bunny is that they can hang around your desk while you work, they can be on your lap and u can pet them while you work and you can lay down with your bunny when you rest (not sleep) the focus right now is just having a bunny as a companion not on care or anything like is this what to expect? I understand they are like cats they sometimes don’t want to be petted and stuff but do your buns do this after you bond with them?
