Disappointed we’ll never get to see a Tariq vs Cane fight like this scene

Yes I'm aware that Cane is from the streets, Tariq isn't blah blah blah. Yet I recall Courtney Kemp (back in S2) saying that she planned for the final season of Book 2 to be Tariq vs Cane, so l expected to see a confrontation like this before the show ended, at least until we found out about the cancellation.

Cane has done the following things to Tariq:

• Conspired to murder him & sent a hitter • Beat him down on multiple occasions • Held him at gunpoint several times • Attempted to get with Lauren • Got with Effie just because Tariq dated her • Repeatedly breaks into his dorm room • Conspired with Monet to stop him from getting custody of Yaz •Framed him for a murder he didn’t commit

I’m sure there’s more but y’all get it. Cane is Tariq’s top opp but I’m worried we’ll never see Tariq get any kind of get back when it comes to him.

I also think that the writers scaled up Cane a bit too much cuz he out here fighting in cages and has never lost a fight. They did this without giving Tariq any kind of fighting ability.

I don’t need Tariq being unstoppable but some physicality wouldn’t be so bad. Kanan & Tommy could beat Ghost’s ass but Ghost still had that controlled aggression on lock. This supposed to be Ghost’s son?Salim nearly overpowered bro🤣
