Direct Stream quality vs 4k BluRay

So I've started ripping 4k blu-rays recently for my Plex library and it got me wondering if anybody has compared quality of direct stream to a 4k BluRay player (I have an Xbox one x). My rips are totally uncompressed so I'd imagine that the quality would be flawless, but I know there are huge price variations in 4k BluRay players, which makes me wonder if the specific player has anything to do with playback quality.
