worth making a new account and starting over?

I used to play 2019-22 until I kind of got fed up with where the game was headed and couldn’t compete anymore since I would just get obliterated by whatever lottery aoe heavy weapon they released that season.

Anyways, is it worth making a new account and progressing through the levels f2p? Also what changed gameplay wise if anything significant past 3 years
