I am very happy with my build, but I have some things that I wish I did. First, I think the Asus x670e Extreme would fit in this case. Second, I could have waited for the Asus Thor 1600w PSU with the 12vhpwr - stuffing all the cables behind the PSU is difficult for this case as their is a fan + fan shroud behind the PSU.
The system runs quietly, I barely notice the fans ramping even when I am rendering work. The ambient in my room is around 15c - 20c. The CPU is thermally capped at 75c, idle at around 40c. CPU had its PBO on, with -10. The GPU idles at 35c - 40c, then ramps to 60c.
I did switch the fan and radiator set up for the Asus Ryujin III, the fan is at the bottom and the radiator on top - I read somewhere that it is easier to clean when the fans are behind the radiator. I switched the direction of the bottom fan to push air outside the case so that I could create a slight positive air flow for the case - I don‘t want the whole system sucking too much dust from the floor.
What I‘ll do next? Probably replace the fans to Silent Wings 4 Pro? Replace the PSU with a Asus Thor PSU with a dedicated 12vhpwr port. Less cables is a plus for me.
Why Asus components? I try to have just one eco system of components, and I feel that Asus line of products is a good start for beginners like me.
