Why infernape?

Why did we get an infernape ex and not a torterra or empoleon ex.... Infernape is the worst starter from Gen 4 (imo). The thing I was most excited for from this set was an empoleon ex/Arceus ex/girantina ex. Almost all my favorite pokemon are Gen 4 and their cards are bad :(. Big sad.
