Help with new psp300

2 questions!! ok so for my birthday my boyfriend got me a psp that I've been asking for since and once I got it I told him i knew how to mod it WHICH I DONT so now im embarrassed to ask 💀

1.) how do I connect to wifi when they all say its not supported? 2.) did i choose the the right sd card and micro stick?

ive been looking it up on yt and they say different stuff and idk if i can even fix the wifi issue with xfinity
