Settings tips

Hi as you know the settings in this game are quite extensive just wondering if there are any tips you can give me on settings which which I could change to help benefit me in game?. Something I've noticed is why can't we put markers on our targets to help with focusing? I am on console so it's not pc settings I know they differ quite a bit.
