Originally, Morgan was named Riley, and Riley was a boy. Riley was a sophomore in high school who loved dressing in more feminine clothing and styling himself in a way that felt comfortable and pretty. Despite his appearance, he identified as a cismale. Personality-wise, Riley was a bit shy and awkward, and people often mistook him for being weak. However, he was a loyal friend and excelled academically.

Years later, Riley's whole character did a complete 180. Riley is now currently Morgan Jane. Morgan is conniving, brutally honest, and doesn't care much for academics. She’s got a softer side, but it’s buried beneath her tough skin and the bologna sandwich she stole from the teachers lounge. Morgan is now a senior in high school and identifies as a cisfemale. She prefers graphic tees over anything stylish.

The reason for this drastic change was to create a character that aligns more with my own experiences. When I was creating Riley, I struggled to relate to him because I never had Riley's experiences. With Morgan, however, her personality and experiences mirror my own from growing up. After many days of redesigning, I'm happy to say I really like how she looks now (though I hope this isn't subject to change LOL).
