First Time Armodafinil Experience

Hey everyone,

I just started experimenting with Waklert (armodafinil) and wanted to share my experience to see if this is normal.

Day 1: • I took 75 mg sublingually in the afternoon (around 3 PM). I know it’s pretty late to take it I’ll aim to take it in the morning tomorrow but my shipment came around that time. • I waited for that “wakefulness” or focus boost, but honestly, I felt nothing – maybe even a little sleepy. • No side effects like headaches or jitters, just neutral. I read that armodafinil works by targeting the orexin system (wakefulness agent), and I’m starting to wonder if I don’t have a deficiency in orexin since I already feel pretty alert during the day naturally.

Today (Day 2): • I’m planning to take 150 mg (whole pill) this morning at 6 am to see if a higher dose makes a difference. • I’ll take it on an empty stomach and swallow it this time instead of sublingual.

I was wondering – is it normal to feel nothing at 75 mg for the first time? Could it be that I just need a higher dose, or is it possible armodafinil doesn’t do much if you already have decent baseline energy levels? Or could it be that the newer batches of Waklert have less potency, as I’ve people say that’s been an issue for the past year.
