Call Your Mom is the saddest song I've ever heard
(Sorry for formatting Im on mobile)
I know there are a lot of songs on this topic - the first two that come to my mind are Agnes (Glass Animals) and Forever Winter (Taylor Swift).
Those are pretty sad. But this song has me literally tearing up every single time and yet I can't stop listening. I can't put my finger on what it is exactly. Maybe it's a little more... blunt? In the others we have euphemisms like "You're gone but you're on my mind" (Agnes) and "Forever winter if you go," but this one. Man. "Don't want to drive another mile wondering if you're breathing." And "If you could see yourself like this, you'd have never tried it."
JESUS. Even typing those out is like a gut punch. They're almost graphic. The picture that paints is vivid and heartbreaking. Idk I've just never really had a visceral reaction to a song like this before and wanted to hear other people's thoughts.
