Can you cook food through freezer burn?

Not in like a "why would you" sort of way that reddit normally goes with. I know it wouldn't be appetizing if it worked.

However, you are getting rid of the bacteria or at least slowing there growth very far. You wouldn't be able to get the most calories out of it either. But it's not as bad as eating it raw surely.

Am I just stupid? (yes) But I am curious on what the general health risk is for this. (Time sensitive)
