How's your playstyle?

Is it only me or Im just overwhelmed to the vastness of this game like

So much to craft So much to explore So much to mine So much to build So much to do in general So much to buy So much to unlock

Makih it very overwhelming, feeling like shelving it but then this is the first game I bought in steam (steam sale)

So what do you think I should do first? Should I focus more on personal upgrades ( exosuit, multitool) rather than building base in freighter and mining tons of resources/grindig starships upgrades (has 6 sentinel ships)?
