Mistake not to clearly reveal Switch 2 mouse functionality?

I’m definitely no marketing expert, so forgive me if I’m missing something. But shouldn’t it have been a no-brainer revealing the alleged mouse functionality in this first (hardware) trailer?

Right now, I’m seeing the general discourse (that is big news media and people not read up on all leaks and subtle hints in the trailer for example) being ”Nintendo has lost its innovation”, ”Switch 2 is boring”, ”Switch 2 is bringing nothing new/no inovation”, etc.

It’s not the end of the world of course, but now this is going to be the general understanding/narrative for almost 3 months until, hopefully, more info is revealed during the Switch 2 focused direct (April 2). That is, 3 months of ”bad” publicity in this regard…

In my eyes, mouse functionality would definitely showcase that Nintendo innovation. It’s quite genius if you think about it and the possibilities it opens up, which I’m sure most of you in this sub will agree on.
