4 years in, are you satisfied with your Switch purchase?

Regardless if you bought it at launch or not. Was it what you expected, did it surpass your expectations or were you let down?

I got mine in fall 2018 and it absolutely met my expectations and then some. But then again, I only wanted Nintendo IPs and some indie games. It absolutely delivered. I got way more indie games than I expected and I’m still picking up games I slept on like Splatoon 2 — got interested after the third Game’s announcement and found one of my favorite titles on the system. It’s so fun

What I didn’t expect is I would also play Witcher 3 on it (double dip) and Doom 2016 (first time playing) and I had an absolute blast with those games

I also didn’t expect sequels to my favorite niche franchises when I got it — Deadly Premonition and No More Heroes. These are games I loved since I was in high school

So overall I got my money’s worth, save for a few dumb eShop purchases that I ended up hating. Nintendo releases to me were steady enough; and I haven’t played Three Houses yet (not a huge fan of taticals, but maybe I’m sleeping like I was with Splatoon)

Main complaint is the lack of 4K display but it’s not too bad, the TV (actually a monitor) in my bedroom is 1080p and smaller than the main TV and it’s where I play.
