Does the “spotting” ever stop?

I’ve been on nexplanon since the end of June. I’ve wanted to try it and have heard great things and after an accidental mishap, I decided to finally get it. I had absolutely ZERO bleeding in any way, shape or form for 28 days, and since the end of July, I’ve had a total of 8 days where there hasn’t been some kind of “spotting”, “bleeding”, whatever you want to call it. I am so fed up. I want to take it out so bad. At this point I’d much rather go back to the pill. What options do I have? Has anyone else dealt with this? Is there anything that can help?

(FWIW I am child free due to numerous reasons, mainly due to health & genetic concerns)
