What trait did you love while dating your spouse, but now you know is a red flag?

This was one of my comments on the red flags post:

One of the things I absolutely loved was how controlling he was about our activities.

Only I didn't call it "controlling"

In my world it was so rare for a man to plan or take ownership of anything I thought he was just being a man doing what "real men do"

It was nice to not have to always be the person planning the dates and paying for everything

Only now can I look back and see how controlling it was to always go where he wanted to go, eat what he wanted to eat, watch what he wanted to watch, but not getting any reciprocation
