What’s with them giving back gifts you’ve given them!!!!????

I’m on almost a month of NC. I never thought I’d be here typing that. We were together for 6 years.

I recently commented about my ex continuously coming to my house uninvited. The first time he left ripped the pictures of us in my windows. The second time he brought over a gift I had been wanting accompanied by two dozen roses and a dozen of my favorite tulips. A two page letter. But also a garbage bag full of clothing articles that were left at his house, my daughter’s jacket, and gifts I have given him in the past six years of being together. Then he came by and left two dead houseplants, and a lighter that had our picture on it. The last time he was here he left a massive garbage bag, which I couldn’t understand what would be in there since I hadn’t left anything like that over there, and it was full of pretty much anything in his house that reminded him of me. Sometimes I was home when he dropped these things off and others I was out. I have not seen or spoke to him since our very last fight which is a whole other post full of issues.

Why do they return gifts that we’ve given them? I’m assuming to player further games but I’ve never returned a gift, ever.
