does anyone else thinks that the goat discussion is similar between football (soccer) and the NBA?

Ronaldo just stated yesterday that he's the goat and he said that the stats supported him, and it got me thinking how similar he is to lebron, both of them :

• said that they are the goat
• freak athletes with insane longevity
• the most insane stats in history
• chased stacked teams to win titles

on the other hand, jordan is kind of similar to messi , both of them :

• never said that they are the goat (and yet, most fans, analysts, media says they are)
• extremly tallented and joyeful to watch
• have more titles and more individual awards (MVPs, FMvps, the equivalent of man of the match and ballon d'or in soccer)
• never left their original team until the end
