Which player should I choose?

I think my guard spots are already filled up with players (only one 99 overall), so might not curry even though he is a fun card I guess. Or is he worth choosing anyways?

I only play offline and prefer to use players I like rather than stats only, but this one made me unsure. Any “must haves” here?
