\nOh I definely prefer Baraka and Samsara, especially the latter!
\nFor the longest time I felt the same thing. But also I haven't watched it again since it originally released. However, we've progressed a lot farther down the road to hell and Life feels a heck of a lot more like War these days, so I'm curious if a rewatch will reveal new affinities within the film.
\n\nThen again, I think most of the problem I had back then was to do with the harshness of the imagery. The digital tools weren't quite up to the challenge at the time, and those have probably aged poorly.
